Dries van Noten announces departure from his brand
In a statement made last Tuesday (19/03), Belgian designer Dries van Noten announces his retirement after 4 decades leading the creative direction of his own brand. His departure is scheduled for June, after the show of his latest summer 2025 men's collection.
“I feel it’s time to leave space for a new generation of talent to bring their vision to the brand.” says Dries.
There is still no indication for his successor.
Maison Margiela + Gentle Monster's new drop
Continuing their long-standing partnership, Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster launch a new drop of 17 pieces designed by Margiela's creative director, John Galliano.
The launch of this second collaboration was accompanied by monstrous, avant-garde installations in five global cities, finding the sweet spot between human and robotic interactions.
The collab can now be seen on the Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster websites.
Becoming Karl Lagerfeld
Series that tells the story of Karl Lagerfeld, entitled "Becoming Karl Lagerfeld"
has just released its first trailer and its release date.
In a total of six episodes, "Becoming Karl Lagerfeld" will star German actor Daniel Brühl and follows Lagerfeld's performance and consecration in the Parisian haute couture scene of the 70s.
The premiere was announced for June 7th, on Disney+.
Pierpaolo Piccioli leaves Valentino
Pierpaolo Piccioli announced this Friday morning his departure from the creative direction of Maison Valentino, where he has worked since 1999, having been its creative director since 2016. “Not all stories have a beginning and an end, some live in a kind of eternal present that shines with intense light, so strong that it leaves no shadows. I have been in this company for 25 years, and for 25 years I have existed and lived with the people who wove with me the plots of this beautiful story that is mine and ours”, declared Piccioli in his farewell message, posted on his Instagram profile.
